Re:list of blockout clones
by the way, if you have some spare time, feel free to add your clones of blockout and your 4D tetris to the wiki here on the blockout.net! if you dont have time, i will do it by myself next week.

Re:list of blockout clones
@simzer: very clever idea to avoid movements by restricting to 2x2x2xn , and to concentrate on rotations only!!

Re:Generic Application Error with new ATI drivers
which direct x version do you have installed? do you have the latest dx 9.0c ?
because i have an ATI card too (radeon 9600) and i do not have any problems running blockoutII.
i also installed today the latest drivers, and everything is fine.

Re:2 Player Version
i am afraid that the playstation 1 has region code. so you wont be able to run a US version in your UK version. in US they use ntsc. so if you have pal, you wont definitely not be able to run NTSC US games directly. you would need to install a mod chip, or try to buy a cheap US playstation. you shou...

Re:2 Player Version
this geom cube definitely has two player mode, i just looked up my own wiki-entry: http://www.blockout.net/index.php?option=com_openwiki&Itemid=26&id=geom_cube the problem is, how can you get the game? i would suggest scanning ebay or such, because the game itself did not sell good and is ki...

Re:Performance issue
yes, try to compile the source code yourself, try to locate the main loop and add a \"usleep(20000);\" this should avoid hooking the cpu up. i.e. find a c++ programmer who can recompile blockoutII sources for you. eventually jean luc pons, the original author could do, if he shows up here ...

Re:full screen on a second monitor
this ULTRAMON - tool might help: http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/ with that you can do all kind of multi-monitor magic. hope it helps.. otherwise find some programmer who can modify blockout source code, its really just a matter of setting the window position (x,y) to something like (1280,0), i...

Re:gamepad support?
that should be quite easy , at least for the linux version, as it supports libSDL, wich has built in joypad support.

Re:upload score
sorry for my late reply! please first try to use the linux binaries provided under \"Download\" - they are compiled by the original author jean luc pons and should contain the network highscore uploading stuff. if that does not help, maybe try the new wine with the windows binaries. i am v...

Re:upload score
where did you get the linux version from?
it could be that - if you have compiled it by yourself - you dont have the special code section that encrypts and protects the highscore.
thats because the programmer jean-luc-pons keeps this section of code private, to avoid manipulations.

Re:BL2 Bot Player
very interesting! it would be interesting how deep we could look ahead in \"out of control\" without having too long thinking times. i could imagine that search times explode quite fast.
lets hope jean luc will find some time to continue with blockoutII.
