Re:BL2 Bot Player
Hi, Don\'t worry about the fast demo mode anymore, I managed to patch it myself to let it auto-restart and keep track of the average cube count. However there is something else I am wondering. Have a look at this Somehow I have the feeling that not all possible combinations of translations/rotations...

Flat fun
Apparently, it is easy to get continuous empty pits with flatfun, by arranging the blocks in a specific way. Could someone remove the scores exploiting this bug? FREDJUST score should be on nr 1. Probably the way the blocks are chosen should be altered. Perhaps a larger bag size? Or how about having...

Re:BL2 Bot Player
Thank you so much, this helps a lot. Getting an average of 700 blocks now (over 80 runs, low 35! high 3598!) in 3x3x6 basic (compared to around 200 blocks in the cvs version); and played 3Dmania once with these setting and got 40000 blocks. Still a lot of room for improvement left. Lieven

Pos...

Re:BL2 Bot Player
Thanks a lot for your answers. Ok this might be a bit much to ask, but on the other hand it might also be easy to do. I am not sure. Would it be possible to create a silent demo mode (which could be removed in the release version) for demo-testing and parameter tweaking. This mode would do: A simula...

Re:BL2 Bot Player
Great news indeed! The demo is already very good, well done!! I managed to get 3Dmania on the lowest depths (3x3x6) a bit better (gets around 300-500 cubes average, which is better than what it was and also a bit better than the original BL). Ideally, the comp should be able to run infinitely in thi...

Re:Compiling Blockout II
TortoiseCVS i believe. After I downloaded the lib\'s manually it compiles and links perfectly!
Tortoise help says it takes care of the file format (ASCII/binary/..) automatically.. not on my comp!
Thank you so much for your help.

Re:Compiling Blockout II
Thanks a lot, I copied and pasted the macro as there and now it compiles fine! (For some reason all code is in doublespacing here on my computer, VC complained about mac file format) The linker however gives an error: I think linking uses the following commando: /OUT:\".\\Debug/BlockOut.exe\&qu...

Compiling Blockout II
Hi, I am sorry but I still don\'t manage to compile. I got rid of some errors. I use VC++ 2005 Express Edition (which is VC8 if I am not mistaken) Include directories are now (the first one was necessary to get rid of a lot of errors) \"$(VCInstallDir)PlatformSDK\\include\";\"C:\\game...

Re:Two questions
How about f=10000*layersdeleted-500*holes-100*thickness-10*smoothness +1*bordersfirst ->holes = nr of holes (nr of overlapping) ->thickness would be similar to dropdepth in the sense that: 1*for all filled squares on the bottom level 2*for .........................second level 3*for ...................

Two questions
Hi, Just discovered Blockout II. I really really like it because it is so close to the original! Jean-Luc did an awesome job. I also very much like the score submitting and statistics. Ok now the two questions: 1. Are there any plans for a demo mode (like in the original?) I used to watch it for hou...
